Im Bootmenü habe ich den USB-Stick ganz oben (Windows wurde ebenfalls von diesem Stick installiert). Use the arrow keys and the return key for navigation.

Then hold the F2 key before hitting the power button and don't release it until you get to the bios settings. But after installed, LM wont boot, the grub isnt shown in uefi. Shut down the computer and insert the USB-stick. All the hardware is recognized and works in live mode (usb installation image made with unetbootin). I have just installed Linux Mint 17 Xfce in a new Acer Aspire E3-112 (also named E 11). Ich lande jedesmal im Windows im UEFI-Modus. Acer Aspire E3-112M (E 11): cant boot after install: SOLVED. Allerdings startet die Installation nicht. Nun würde ich mir gerne noch ein Ubuntu 16.04 LTS installieren.

To install in UEFI/GPT-disk mode, ensure that Secure Boot, Fast Boot and CSM(or Legacy BIOS) are disabled in System BIOS Setup, and the Live LM media(DVD or USB-stick) is booted in UEFI mode from the Boot Menu in BIOS Setup. I made a bootable USB stick and when installing it will freeze with Grub 2. I have been trying to install Linux 19 in my Acer aspire ES 15.
